7 months and counting

Jacob is now 7 months old. It's amazing how quickly time has gone by and how much he has changed. He crawls around like a champ and has a talent for putting any stray item on the floor in his mouth. Luckily, Jacob has three older siblings who look out for him. His latest trick is pulling himself up. However, after he stands up he's not quite sure what to do so he either falls down or screams until he is rescued. :) Already he is growing up too fast.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Abigail!

This was Abigail's first birthday party with friends. They had a blast! The girls all dressed up as princessess (obviously), made crowns and wands, and danced around. Emma was upset because 'Abby always gets to have the best birthday parties.' I guess you just can't win.
It's amazing to see how fast Abigail (and all of the children) has grown. She can now communicate very well and is growing more independent by the hour. She loves to help with her brother Jacob although sometimes she can be too helpful. :) The time passes by so swiftly but I am enjoying every minute of it.

Bringing in the new year

Papa and the grandkids.
Boys will be boys. :)

Aunt Alexis with her neices and nephews.
We recently rung in the new year of 2009 while visiting family in Dallas, TX. It was a lot of fun, but I must admit that a week with four kids in a hotel room can get a bit...interesting.

Sewing 101

So...for my first sewing project I decided to make matching pajama pants for everyone to open on Christmas Eve. Miraculously, everyone was able to wear them although some were a little long and others didn't fit quite right. The kids thought it was so cool! I think it will become a yearly tradition.

On the field

This year Aaron has started playing soccer. Josh is his coach, a fact of which Aaron is tremendously proud of. There are only 3 other boys on Aaron's team now and they are currently undefeated. Go Dragons!

Look...no training wheels

Since we've moved to New Mexico, the training wheels have been taken off of Emma and Aaron's bikes. Emma loves it and is so proud of herself. Aaron, on the other hand, has decided that he is more comfortable with the training wheels on. We're still negotiating.

Trick or Treat

This Halloween we went with a Wizard of Oz theme. It was a lot of fun, and all of the kids had fun getting their costumes together. The Scarecrow (Josh) was our photographer and Toto (Jacob) was sleeping in the car. However, next year I might just let them pick out any costume because despite all my efforts to get them excited...in the end they still wanted to be a pirate and a princess. :)
